Attributions & Credits

footbadle is built on top of openly available football data and freely licensed imagery. We take attribution seriously: the people and projects below make the game possible, and we want their work to be properly credited. If you believe something here is missing or incorrect, please email contact@footbadle.com and we will fix it promptly.

Stadium photography

The photographs used in Stadium Spotter and across our stadium guides are sourced from Wikimedia Commons and used under their respective open licences — principally the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) and Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) licences. Each image remains the property of its original photographer. Where a licence requires it, the photographer's name and the licence are credited on the relevant page, and any modifications we make (such as cropping or resizing for display) are noted.

If you are a photographer and would like your specific credit displayed differently — or removed — get in touch and we will action it.

Football data

The facts behind every puzzle — player nationalities, clubs, positions, ages, career transfer histories, shirt numbers and league information — are compiled from publicly available sources, including official club and league websites, public reference databases and reputable football media. We cross-check details where we can, but football moves fast and records sometimes disagree. If you spot an error, our Contact page exists precisely for that.

Club names, badges and trademarks

Club names, nicknames and badges referenced in footbadle are the property of their respective owners and are used factually, for identification and editorial purposes only. footbadle is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any football club, league or governing body, including the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, the Primeira Liga, the Süper Lig or the Eredivisie.

Flags

The country flags used in Flag XI are standard national flags rendered from open, public-domain flag data. National flags are not subject to copyright.

Software and open source

footbadle's apps and website are built with the open-source Flutter framework. Our static content layer — this blog and the pages you are reading — is generated by a small in-house tool written in Python using only its standard library. We are grateful to the wider open-source community whose libraries and tooling underpin the project.

Every reference to a real club, player, stadium or competition on footbadle is made for the purpose of factual identification, commentary, education and entertainment. No official affiliation is claimed or implied. If you hold rights to any material featured here and have a concern, please reach out — we respond to every message.
